This young striker became Owen Coyle's first recruit of the 2007 close-season when he joined the club from Queen's Park.
David had netted 18 goals as the Hampden amateurs won promotion from the Third Division by way of the play-offs and his performances and goals tally prompted Saints to pursue their interest which they had first shown back at the start of 2006/07 season.
Despite interest and at least one firm offer from SPL clubs David opted to come to Perth to take the next step in what looks to be a very promising career.
A player with pace who can play through the middle or in wide areas, David's first goal for the club came in the Challenge Cup quarter final win over Brechin City at the end of September.
